100th ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNION: The Romanian Embassy celebrated a national holiday

On the occasion of the national holiday, the Day of Romanian Unity, the embassy of this country in Serbia organized a formal reception.

The guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of Romania to Serbia, Oana Kristina Popa, at the Belgrade Hajat Hotel, which highlighted the strong and very good relations between Romania and Serbia and reminded of the traditional friendship and closeness of the two peoples, both Romanian and Serbian.

Popa stated that Romania has been a member of the European Union for 10 years and will be chaired by the Council of the European Union from January 1 next year.

The reception was attended by ministers, representatives of public and cultural life, diplomatic corps, high military officials, church dignitaries and others.

Romania celebrates its National Day, the Day of Romanian Unity, in memory of December 1, 1918, when Transylvania united with the Kingdom of Romania, while Besarabia and Bukovina returned to its borders.

This is the fulfillment of the eternal dream of unifying all the Romanians into one state.
