PM Vučić opened Bombay Stock Exchange

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, who is in India from January 9-12 for a series of bilateral meetings with PM Modi, rang the opening bell at Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić opened today Bombay stock exchange (Bombay Stock Exchange – BSE), emphasising that it is a great honour for Serbia, as well as links between Serbia and India, although good, may be further improved.

He, after visiting the Stock Exchange in Bombay, said he is very honoured and grateful, especially adding that, in addition to personal honour, he considered it an honour for Serbia that he could open the work of this institution. This, he said, shows the closeness of the two countries.

According to him, using the traditional ties of the past we will be able to create a better future and cooperation between India and Serbia. “When I say that, I mean not only the political relations between India and Serbia, but I would like to emphasise the importance of strengthening economic relations,” said Vučić.

He pointed out that he had a very significant and important conversations, during his stay in India, and praised the prime minister Modi, saying he had a great energy, new ideas and a commitment to work and opened new doors for India and new perspectives. Indian businessmen, said Vučić, are always welcome in our country and expressed hope that they would invest in Serbia.
