The Independence Day of Montenegro is celebrated on May 21
It marks the day when, in 2006, after the referendum, Montenegro renewed its independence and became an independent state.
This occasion was marked by a reception organised by the Montenegro Embassy in Serbia and H.E. Nebojša Đoković that hosted this event. The ambassador of Montenegro recently began his tenure in Serbia during February 2025 when he was officialy appointed.
Among the many guests of this event were the members of the diplomatic core, Serbian government officials and partners of the Montenegro Embassy in Belgrade.
