The fourth Day of America was held on September 18, 2025, in the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia
The event was organized by the Serbian-American Friendship Congress and Diplomacy & Commerce magazine, with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade.
At the panel dedicated to political and strategic dialogue as a partnership for the future, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, emphasized that the strategic dialogue between Serbia and the United States should also be viewed in a broader, global context.
“The constant in these difficult times is the continued improvement of relations between our two countries – despite often tough, turbulent, and challenging circumstances we are facing,” Đurić said.
He also pointed out that now is a time of great opportunity and new chances for cooperation between Serbia and the United States. Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, Alexander Titolo, said that the United States and Serbia are entering a new era in their relations.
We are standing at the threshold of a new era in the U.S.-Serbia relationship – an era defined not by what lies behind us, but by what we choose to build together. President Trump and his Administration are committed to reinvigorating the U.S.-Serbia relationship, to increasing economic and business ties between our countries, and to engaging in political dialogue based on common interests and values.
But let me be clear: this new era is only possible if we are united in our commitment to regional stability. That is the foundation on which all progress depends – economic, political, and social. We want to work with Serbia and its neighbors to promote economic partnerships and open markets – big goals that we cannot achieve if we allow other voices to distract us.
We cannot let differences from the recent past prevent us from building a brighter future. And we should not let selective readings of history prevent us from cooperating to build a better future together. When it comes to history, I am focused on the mutually beneficial ties between our two great nations stretching back well over 100 years, said Alexander Titolo.
