Joint Declaration of Support Signed at the EU-Western Balkans Investment Forum

Subotica, Serbia / Tirana, Albania – October 13, 2025 – At the high-level EU-Western Balkans Investment Forum held yesterday in Tirana, Albania, ElevenEs CEO, Nemanja Mikać, signed a Joint Declaration of Support for the ElevenEs Battery Manufacturing Expansion with representatives from the European Commission (DG ENEST) and the Development Agency of Serbia, in presence of the President of the European Commission, Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen.

The Joint Declaration of Support is recognizing ElevenEs as a relevant investment project aligned with the EU’s Green Deal and the Global Gateway Strategy. It also recognizes ElevenEs’s important role in the upcoming decarbonization of the EU’s electricity, transport and industrial sectors. ElevenEs is poised to accelerate the development of the European e-mobility and energy storage value chains, promoting local supply chain integration, and fostering sophisticated technological skills necessary for the region’s industrial advancement.

The signing ceremony took place on the first day of the first EU-Western Balkans Forum, supported by the European Commission and dedicated to strengthening economic cooperation and investment opportunities between EU member states and Western Balkan partners.
