Meeting between the Ambassador of Pakistan and the Delegation of the Serbian-Pakistani Friendship Society

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Serbia, Faraz Zaidi, received yesterday the President of the Serbian-Pakistani Friendship Society, Vladan Škorić, accompanied by the renowned ethno-music artist Bilja Krstić

Welcoming him and wishing him success in his new post, Škorić expressed his belief that during Ambassador Zaidi’s mandate, the Society will be fully active and will significantly contribute to strengthening mutual understanding, further rapprochement, and friendship between the peoples of the two countries, given the considerable yet unused opportunities previously noted by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Ambassador Faraz Zaidi during the presentation of credentials. On that occasion, they agreed that the opening of a Serbian embassy in Islamabad should hold a central place in the future development of overall relations between the two countries, as it would substantially contribute to the accelerated development of economic cooperation and the connection of companies and businesspeople from both nations—an effort to which the Society’s members will fully contribute.

During the meeting, Ambassador Zaidi informed his guests about the plans and programs of the Embassy’s activities during his mandate and invited the members of the Society to take part in the proposals and various activities planned for the coming period.

On this occasion, Ambassador Zaidi expressed his gratitude for the visit and congratulated our distinguished artist Bilja Krstić—music professor and longtime editor at Radio Belgrade, who created a unique fusion of traditional music and contemporary arrangement techniques—on the major jubilee of her 50-year career, recently marked with a spectacular concert at the MTS Hall. He invited her to take part in the realization of upcoming music and arts projects currently being planned.
