Book Talk 2025: Writers and Publishers from Across the Region on October 3–4 in Novi Sad

Traditional Book Talk conference, which brings writers and publishers from across the region to Novi Sad every autumn, will once again offer engaging discussions for lovers of good literature

The conference opens on Friday, October 3, at 2:00 PM at the Gallery of Matica Srpska. On the first day, visitors will have the opportunity to attend panels such as: The Traditional Book Talk Publishers’ Panel, Where Do We Go Without Teofil?, There Is No Salvation, but We Won’t Perish: The Self-Help Book Tsunami, Can Literature Change the World, as well as a One-on-One Conversation with writer Nedžad Ibrahimović from Tuzla.

The first day’s program will conclude with a guided tour of the Lazar Vozarević exhibition at the Gallery of Matica Srpska and a cocktail reception for participants.

The following day, Saturday, October 4, the program continues with panels including: “100 Years Since the Albanian Golgotha: Literature and War”, “Contemporary Hungarian Literature in Vojvodina”, “The Summer I Learned to Fly: Literary Debuts by Non-Professional Writers”, “I Listen, Therefore I Am: Literary Podcasts”, as well as a discussion titled “A Look Over the Fence” featuring two guests from Zagreb – theater producer Duško Ljuština and journalist and publicist Boris Rašeta.

The conference will conclude with a discussion on the book “My Life” by Vlaho Bukovac, held beneath Bukovac’s painting The Great Iza.
