On Friday, August 1st, 2025, Gold Gondola hosted a grand event titled GONDOLA ETHNO VIBE for its business partners, representatives of the economy and public life, and friends.
This highly aesthetic event, presented as a performance at the Gondola’s Mid-Station with a spectacular view of Ribničko Lake, blended the richness and uniqueness of the Zlatibor region with creative industries and modern design.
On impressive stages carefully integrated into the mountain’s natural setting, themes such as cultural heritage, fashion, traditional crafts, ancient cuisine, health, and longevity were presented.
Through a bold architectural and design endeavor, the Gondola team told the story of Zlatibor in a fresh, more creative way, preserving its identity while raising the bar in cultural event organization.
“Just like our BRUNCH in the air is not an ordinary meal, this event is not just an event. It’s a unique aesthetic, spiritual, and sensory journey showing what happens when local identity meets enthusiasm and modern creative industries.
As a team that never settles for mediocrity and always raises standards, we believe we are contributing to branding the Zlatibor region as a modern center and one of the most desirable places to live and work.
We believe this event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the growth of the Gondola as a place of meeting and connection,”
said Bojana Božanić, Director of JP “Gold Gondola.”
Through a digital exhibition on LED totems accompanied by trumpet music, guests enjoyed a walk along the promenade to Ribničko Lake, where they experienced the Ethno Couture Serbia exhibit by Goga Grubješić, creator of the renowned Ethnology Fest, and celebrated art photographer Nebojša Babić.
Titled “A Journey Through Tradition” and supported by the Open-Air Museum “Old Village” in Sirogojno, the exhibition seamlessly woven into Zlatibor’s landscape showcased the richness and beauty of traditional Serbian attire as inspiration for haute couture: modern, authentic, and powerful.
A special guest of the event was Mira Šemić, Director of the prestigious French gastronomic guide Gault&Millau for Serbia and Slovenia. Known as the “yellow book,” Gault&Millau has been setting culinary standards in Serbia for four years, elevating Serbian gastro-tourism onto the world map.
“I would be delighted to present this region even more to the world, because the Zlatibor area offers excellent ingredients, great homemade food, and masterful rakija,” said Mira Šemić.
Renowned chef and gastronomic expert Hadži Saša Mišić, this time in the role of host, presented a slow-food pairing of authentic Zlatibor bites with rakija through a performance called “The Mirror of Life”, where tastes, smells, and stories became part of a stage experience.
“Zlatibor cuisine is world-class cuisine. Today, the world was created here everything good, local, and useful came together, dressed in beauty and light,”concluded Mišić.
Through an unforgettable aesthetic and sensory experience in the form of a performance, Gondola demonstrated that the global longevity trend is already present in Zlatibor. Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy unique health and beauty care rituals creatively designed just for them.
The stunning set design, created in collaboration with local artisans, featured fresh jam and pies cooked and served on a wood stove, a fashion show of knitwear, embroidery, calligraphy, jewelry, and artistic items, specially crafted cocktails, and food paired with world-class wines.
Over the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd, the event transformed into a Festival open to all visitors.
Everyone visiting the Gondola during the weekend will be able to taste authentic flavors, purchase local products, participate in workshops, and enjoy numerous activations and surprises, all in an environment that sets new standards for events of this kind.
