We explored the drivers behind Al Pack Group’s impressive expansion and its growing international footprint in a detailed interview with Mr. Rajko Mikac, the founder whose leadership has been instrumental in the company’s development.

Q & A:

Al Pack Group has grown from a small family business into an internationally significant company. What key factors have contributed to this impressive growth, and what were the biggest challenges along the way?

Since 1994, we have been expanding our knowledge and experience in aluminium packaging production, investing a lot of effort in human resources, as well as in technology. Great commitment to these factors enables us to stay ahead of ongoing market changes and remain adaptable. The greatest challenge lies in the company’s ability to respond to dynamic and changing market demands.

You have marked 30 years of existence and successful operation. Al Pack Group has achieved significant success in conquering new markets. Can you describe this project in more detail and its significance for Al Pack Group?

In recent years, we have established partnerships with key players in the wet pet food industry, which at the same time resulted in a significant expansion of capacity within our production facilities in Subotica and Belgrade.

We are proud that the quality of our products is recognized by the world’s leading brands in this industry, as well as the price-quality ratio.

Our entry into this market opens opportunities for sustained growth in the years ahead.

How does Al Pack Group ensure that its products meet the highest quality standards and the demands of global brands? What technologies and innovations do you use in the production process?

One of Al Pack’s core values is the commitment to the quality of our finished products. We begin by clearly defining quality standards and understanding our customers’ requirements and expectations. Effective communication is key, ensuring that both our suppliers and employees are aligned, so that quality expectations are consistently met throughout the entire process.

In our laboratory, we simulate our customers’ production processes to test quality, alongside the standard procedures for incoming, line, and final inspections.

In today’s competitive market, innovation is key. How does Al Pack Group encourage innovation and the development of new solutions in the field of aluminum packaging?

Our team is made up of many skilled technologists, so through daily collaboration and shared experiences, we continuously learn from one another. Ideas emerge in various situations, followed by countless tests and trials. While we don’t always succeed, the most important thing is that we never give up. I strive to convey this spirit of perseverance and innovation in every member of our team.

How do you see the future of the aluminum packaging industry and Al Pack Group’s position in it? What are your plans for the company’s further growth and development?

Aluminum is an outstanding barrier against light, oxygen, moisture, odors, and microorganisms, and its excellent flexibility and elasticity make it an ideal material for the packaging industry. This is why I see no reason why it won’t continue to be a key material in the future.

As for future plans, that’s a question for the younger generation. I can offer my advice, but how much they’ll take it to heart – that’s another story (laughs).
