Last year, the conference “Book Talk” brought together over 60 of the most important writers and publishers from all over the region: Laslo Vegel, Svetlana Slapšak, Svetislav Basara, Aleksandar Gatalica, Vlaho Bogišić, Jelena Lengold, Teofil Pančić, Mirjana Đurđević, Dejan Stojiljković, Muharem Bazdulj, Dejan Papić, Marko Vidojković, Veton Surroi, Goran Samardžić, Zvonko Matković…
This year, on the 1st and 2nd of September, Novi Sad will, for the second time, be host of the most recognised names in the world of literature and publishing. In the premises of the Memorial Collection of Pavle Beljanski, on the 1st September at 7AM, the first panel discussion and cocktail reception will be held and on the 2nd September 10 panel discussions in two parallel programmes will be held.
Like last year, the conference will be preceded by action “The Week of Books”, from 29th August to 2nd September during which all the passengers in the public transport in Novi Sad will be given book as a gift by our volunteers. Gift books were provided by publishers, partners of the conference.
For the first time the conference will be held Walk & Talk: Talk with your favourite writer during walking in Novi Sad! Conference participants will have the opportunity to socialise with their favourite writers during the “Walk & Talk” activation. Walk in Novi Sad with coffee and cakes in the “Theatre” Café. Write with whom you want to hang out on the conference dates and write to WalkTalk@color.rs. The number of participants per group is limited to 8.
At this year’s “Book Talk” conference all participants will have the opportunity to hear and meet Svetlana Slapšak, Borka Tomovic, Isidora Bjelica, Lazar Džamić, Teofil Pančić, Duško Ljuština, Ante Tomić, Aleksandar Gatalica, Jelena Bačić Alimpić, Ivan Ivanji, Ljubivoje Ršumović many other.
At the opening ceremony, the conference will be opened by Maja Gojković, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and President of the Cultural Committee.
