Candidates evaluated the companies in 2016: Employers still don’t send notice on the outcome of job applications

Last year the candidates that applied for a job through the site poslovi.infostud.com gave their verdict on the manner in which employers organised recruitment and selection process in their companies, rating them.
On that occasion the marks from 1 to 5
showed the manner in which the company has scheduled an interview, the quality of the information received about the workplace, the rate of completion of the selection process, as well as the notification of the outcome of the competition.

The way in which the company has scheduled a test or interview remains among the best rated aspect in the selection process, while the score for informing the candidates about the outcome of the competition for the job remained virtually unchanged compared to the previous year.
During the survey this year there were 82035 filled questionnaires, which is approximately 1 500 more than in the previous year. In addition, it is estimated that there was considerably more competition for the job (nearly 17,000), as well as a number of individual employers (almost 5000).

Employers still have got low scores for the notification of the outcome of the competition. The lack of feedback on the outcome of the competition is still the lowest rated in the process of selection and recruitment althoiugh there has been recorded improvement compared to last year. Although companies are slowly becoming aware that by sending feedback in shaping of the company image, the candidates continue to express dissatisfaction with the extent to which this is done. The average score this year is 1.6 which was also the case in 2015.

A slight shift can be seen in the evaluation of the speed of completion of the selection process. Unlike last year, when the score was 3.3, this year the score was slightly higher at 3.4. Greater satisfaction of candidates can be seen in other segments of the selection process such as information on the workplace (job description, working conditions, the amount of earnings) and score this year is 3.5. Compared to the previous year has improved the way in which the company schedules a test or an interview, and now score is 3.9. Unlike last year’s 3.8.

Companies whose process of selection and recruitment of the candidates are best evaluated are Zuhlke Engineering, Bitgear WirelessDesign Services and Bibo Global Opportunity, Inc. HR agencies that received the highest scores were: TIM Centar, Human Capital Solutions Executive Search and Manpower.
