In addition to digitization, Gebrüder Weiss continues to focus on investments in physical infrastructure. In 2018, € 50 million was re-invested. Road transport: perfectly overcoming obstacles

The road transport area again proved to be the backbone of 2018. The organization itself recorded an increase of 7.5% despite very intense competition. With a steadily growing demand-driven economy, all the obstacles associated with it, such as the lack of drivers, inadequate loading space and large oscillations in shipments, had to be overcome. “We have been able to do this thanks to our knowledge, awareness of quality and price, as well as the super-engagement of our employees,” says Wolfram Senger-Veiss. Digitalization tools help to improve planning, optimize processes and offer new communication opportunities.
