Famous Italian chef Marco Sasso, for the first time is a guest at the Enso Restaurant, but due to high demand for a menu prepared by him, he extended his stay to three days and he will be in Belgrade from 2 to 4 March.
Sasso moved from Italy to New York at the age of 30, where he stayed for the next 20 years. In America, he did his cooking apprenticeship in order to open his own restaurant in New Jersey. His ‘Ricotta Gnocchi with truffles‘ were declared the best pasta in New Jersey some ten years ago. Then he moved to Veli Lošinj where he opened a restaurant ‘Bora bar’ in Rovenska. For him, cooking is like playing the instrument. He cooked for Andrea Bocelli in New Jersey, while in the restaurant “Giorgio’s” where he worked in Los Angeles, he cooked for Tom Cruise, David Bowie, Meryl Streep, and many other celebrities, athletes and senators. He says the anonymous guests are more demanding than the big stars. All the famous people would to choose something from his menus – Meryl Streep, for example, adored truffles. – Tom Cruise kept coming to my tortellini – said Sasso. Marco is a passionate lover of truffles, and no wonder it is often called “truffles freak “. For his guests in Belgrade he prepared a special menu and he says he cannot wait to hear their impressions.
