Kazakhstan opens its embassy in Serbia

Along with numerous public figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps and religious communities celebrated the Independence Day of Kazakhstan and the opening of the first Embassy of Kazakhstan in Serbia at Villa Jelena in Belgrade.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, H.E. Gabit Sizdikbekov, Serbian MP and Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan and President of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Kazakhstan at the National Assembly of Serbia, Milanka Karić, and a member of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Kazakhstan at the National Assembly of Serbia and a Serbian MP, Dragomir J. Karić welcomed the guests.

„I am very honoured to be the first ambassador to Kazakhstan in Serbia and to have been welcomed in such a magnificent way. I would like to thank the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, for the reception he held when I arrived in Belgrade. We got the best possible welcome in Serbia, both from the top state officials, the Karić family and the citizens of this beautiful country,“ Ambassador Sizdikbekov underlined.

The guests enjoyed the pecialities from the Serbian and Kazakh cuisine, as well as the musical performances by the members of the Yas – Star ensemble from the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan is located at 10, Temišvarska Street in Belgrade.
