“Food Talk” Conference at the City Museum of Podgorica

This year’s Food Talk conference will be held on Monday, November 10, at the City Museum of Podgorica, under the patronage of the Secretariat for Entrepreneurship and Investments of the Capital City of Podgorica

First organized in 2013 at Salaš 137 near Novi Sad, the regional conference dedicated to gastronomy, wine, and beer brings together several hundred participants, speakers, and exhibitors. Since then, the event has been held in numerous cities across the region — including Belgrade, Skopje, and Budva — and this fall, on November 10, Food Talk will make its debut in Podgorica.

The conference is organized by the culinary publications team of Color Press Group, the largest magazine publisher in Southeast Europe, in cooperation with the event agency Color Media Communications. Food Talk is a brand that gathers the region’s most prominent names from the world of gastronomy, as well as embassies, hotels, restaurants, wineries, agricultural estates, and companies involved in food production and processing.

The program features six panels, and participants will also have the opportunity to taste a wide range of local specialties and wines:

Panel No. 1 – Taste of Planet:
Ambassadors of foreign countries discuss their national dishes and Montenegrin specialties whose recipes they will take home after their stay in Podgorica.

Panel No. 2 – How to Get More Dušan Đorđevićs: The Challenge of Motivation in the Regional HoReCa Industry
Dušan Đorđević, a young waiter from the “Nais” hotel in Niš, recently charmed the entire region with his spontaneous and cheerful attitude captured by an influencer — a moment that made him famous. How did something that should be “normal” become “exceptional”? How do managers in the regional HoReCa industry manage to create and retain people like Dušan Đorđević — at receptions, in kitchens, or with trays in hand?

Panel No. 3 – Food, Wine & Art:
Food as an inspiration for writers, painters, composers, actors, and directors.

Panel No. 4 – We Ate Ourselves Silly: Branding Destinations Through Food and Wine
Representatives of tourism organizations, cities, and regions discuss the importance of gastronomic offerings for their destinations.

Panel No. 5 – The Menu:
Chefs from across the region talk about tastes and the expectations of a new audience.

Panel No. 6 – La Traviata:
The traditional Food Talk wine panel.
