Aja Jung, founder and director of the Belgrade Dance Festival, was awarded the Order of Arts and Literature in the rank of Knight of France.
It was given for “engagement and activities for the benefit of cultural and artistic ties between the two countries”. The order was granted by H E Christine Moro, French Ambassador to Serbia. “You embody the principles of France”, she said. aja jung thanked with words: “It is a great honour when an award comes from a rich culture to a small Balkan town.”
