MEETING POINT FOR GREEN EXPORT

Scandinavian Design Group, part of I&F Grupa, created concept and user experience for The Explorer, a digital showroom for exploring Norway’s diverse offering of green and sustainable solutions.

The goal of this digital showroom is to present Norwegian companies to an international market and create an innovative landscape in which Norway will position itself as a pioneer in sustainable development. The Explorer was developed by two agencies: Scandinavian Design Group, in charge of concept development and user experience, and Creuna, with the responsibility for building the technical platform.

The Explorer, the new digital arena for Norwegian green export, a place where global challenges and green Norwegian solutions are aligned, was launched by Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg and the CEO of Innovation Norway, Anita Krohn Traaseth.

The ambition is to develop a stronger nation brand and position Norway for the future, and in turn, increase exports and secure the Norwegian welfare model for future generations. Cathrine Pia Lund is the Director for Brand Norway at Innovation Norway. Lund launched the Explorer together with the Prime Minister and she emphasizes the importance of this initiative.

It’s not about creating a logo, a slogan or a campaign. This is all about our ability to communicate unique stories of who we are, where we come from and what we can offer to the world. To be able to create a solid brand for our country we need to consider what is authentic and unique about us as a nation. It is important to know what the world thinks about us,” says Lund.

Developing The Explorer has been a very interesting project with great potential. Norway as a country is in need of positioning itself in a highly competitive international marketplace. To create a new nation brand for our country is an honourable assignment that we are very proud to be involved in” says Anne Marie Brady, Managing Director at Scandinavian Design Group.
