Under the patronage and with the support of Tamara Vučić, the wife of the President of the Republic of Serbia, the 7th International Ethnology Fest was opened yesterday at the Ethnographic Museum.
This year’s Ethnology Fest promotes intangible cultural heritage and the protection of cultural identities.
The Serbian princess Jelisaveta Karadjordjević also appeared at the fashion show that opened the event.
To the general delight of the audience, the eighty-seven-year-old princess walked down the runway in the Šumadija national costume, which she says she last wore as a little girl when she was three years old. Graceful, elegant, and smiling, the Serbian princess won the applause of those present with this unusual styling.
