As part of the 10th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, a photography exhibition titled “Feeding the Eyes” was opened at the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Belgrade

This exhibition represents a journey that transforms the way we look at food and elevates it into a narrative about humanity itself. The temporal dimensions—past, present, and futureevoked by these images trace paths, explore possibilities, and raise questions. Luisa Valieri, Mauro Turati, Francesco Rucci, and Francesco Marinelli, the authors of these masterful photographs, manage to condense the multilayered meanings food has acquired and to create a new form of expression.

Food becomes a symbol of collective memory, territorial practices, the aesthetics of desire, and ethical horizons. This is an invitation to move through interconnected spaces, to grasp the identity values of society, and to enrich our imagination of the future with new reflections.

Through the form of visual storytelling, Francesco Rucci thoroughly examines the challenges related to the future and to adapting to social conditions. Francesco Marinelli enjoys immersing himself in photography as a way of progressing and listening to himself, refining his visual language with the intention of expressing ideas, experiences, and concepts.

After a successful career in advertising, Mauro Turati has directed his experimentation toward photography of a more artistic nature, the result of exceptional teamwork. Luisa Valieri, one of the finest Italian food photographers, combines an analogue mindset with digital photographic production, creating sets that highlight light, composition, and precision.
The exhibition is open until 21 November 2025, from 10:00 to 18:00 (and on Friday from 10:00 to 15:00).
