The RES Association Serbia marks the first year of its existence and functioning as the first business association that is fully dedicated to renewable energy sources in its mission, vision and goals.

In just one year, RES Serbia has become a very influential player in the market of renewable energy sources in Serbia and a recognizable factor in the region and Europe.

“Apart from the EBRD support, it is very important that our founders are renowned companies that have built the largest wind farms in Serbia, the largest solar power plants, hydropower plants and biogas plants, as well as prestigious members of power companies, lawyers and consultants. All our members have great, visible results in Serbia, produce electricity, employ workers, pay taxes, and in addition have similar or even greater results abroad. Such a synergy of quality energy had to give results, with of course hard work, ” says Danijela Isailović, manager of the Association of RES Serbia.

The Association has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Mining and Energy, excellent in cooperation with EMS AD and the Energy Agency Republic of Serbia, while the Electric Power Industry of Serbia, as the largest producer of green energy, is a regular member of the Association.

RES Serbia is an active member of the European Wind Energy Association WindEurope.

Cooperation has been established with the Energy Community, the EU Delegation and embassies with the aim of improving the energy transition process.

“In the founding year, we exceeded our own expectations, even the expectations of those who supported us. We caused a lot of attention, which is quite normal when you work hard and present a synergy of values and results. Our plans for the coming years are to be a stable association, whose word has weight both in our country and in the region, to expand the membership to the extent that everyone feels good and respects each other. The general goals remain the same – more green energy, support for energy transition, work on regulations, cooperation with state authorities, informing citizens, the inclusion of young people and women,” said Isailović.
