H.E. Mr. Rashid Hassan Pour Baei, is a new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Serbia. He was born on the 30th April 1960 in Babol, and finished MA in Regional Studies, at the Islamic Azad University in Tehran.
From 1986 he started career in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, 1989 – 1991 he was a Political Attache at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bonn, 1991-1993 he was Head of Section for Germany-1st West Europe Department- Foreign Affairs Ministry. Later he was first Secretary at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, Deputy Head of Department for Foreign Investment- Foreign Affairs Ministry, Deputy Head of Press Department- Foreign Affairs Ministry, Second Counsellor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dublin, Advisor to Deputy Minister for Asia and Oceania- Foreign Affairs Ministry, Acting General Directorof Department for North and East Europe- Foreign Affairs Ministry. During 2009 – 2010 he was Charge d’Affaires e.p. at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Prague, 2010 – 2014 Deputy Head of Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beijing, 2014 – 2017 Head of Department for North and East Europe – Foreign Affairs Ministry and from 2017 to December 2019: Head of Departmentfor North Europe – Foreing Affairs Ministry. On the 12th May 2020 he became Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenitpotentiary to the Republic of Serbia. He speaks English, German, French, he is married with one child.
