11. Weekend Media Festival from September 20 to September 23

Today begins the 11th Weekend Media Festival, the biggest event for the media and communications industry in Southeast Europe, which will be held from September 20 to 23 at the old tobacco factory in Rovinj. This year’s Weekend Media Festival will surprise with new halls and formats, interesting lecturers and numerous panels where over 5000 participants will be inspired.

Among the many panels, West Wing stands out – how to advise the president, in which top advisors to the prime minister and president of the region will reveal to whom they have met all the challenges in their business. “Certainly this was the ratification of the Istanbul Convention, as well as the entire attempt to demolish the settlement in Agrokor, which, fortunately, failed. In addition, the challenge was to try to influence the process itself and create a team that breathes as one, it is a key precondition for success,” Krešimir Macan, former Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia for Strategic Communication, revealed.

Stojan Pelko, former adviser to Samuel Zbogar, EU Special Representative in Kosovo, will arrive from Slovenia, while his cooperation with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will be heard by his long-time media adviser Suzana Vasiljevic. “We spend a lot of time talking. We often disagree, sometimes there is a sharp exchange of views, but I think it’s normal and healthy. The greatest danger for a leader is to surround people who will not want or should not point out mistakes” said Vasiljevic.

The best football match Zlatko Dalwill be revealed on the Weekend and we will share with us the unfamiliar details from Russia. One on one with Dalić will be an opportunity to find out how he managed to achieve an incredible series of victories with the national team and to throw Croatia into a delirium that has not been seen for a long time.
Part of the 11. Weekend program will be dedicated to festival partners, Germany and France. Guests from the leading European economic powers will present our best marketing, media and business practices. Christine Amtmann and Elsa Comby will present to us the ARTE television channel, one of the pioneers of digital media that has stepped in the field of culture and information beyond national boundaries.

French security expert Eric Léandri and founder Qwanta will explain how the first search engine works to protect the user’s freedom and is concerned that the digital ecosystem remains healthy. What is the secret of the success of French animation for animated films “How She Stole the Moon” and “Astérix” will be revealed by Cécile Blondel, head of the International Relations Department of this prestigious school.
