Dynamic development of the region of the Western Balkans by 2030 – (not) reality?

The German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia) in cooperation with the Committee of the German Economy for Eastern Europe – the Eastern European Association of German Economy (OA) is organizing a regional conference on political, economic and social perspectives in the Western Balkans countries called the Western Balkans 2030 – Visions. Desire. Reality. September 26 and 27, 2018, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belgrade.


The conference will be opened by the Ambassador of Germany to Serbia Thomas Schieb, President of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce Dr. Ronald Seeliger and Chairman of the Working Group for Eastern Europe of the Eastern European Association of German Economy (OA) Janusz Kulik. In the fast, one-hour panel discussions, different visions of the economy, politics and civil society will be presented. Experts from the region together with experts from Germany will outline attitudes and perspectives on external influences, connectivity, digitization, the future of democracy, as well as the outflow or brain drain in the Western Balkans region. The regional conference will be closed by the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Zoran Đinđić Foundation scholarship program, which will be attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and the director of the Foundation Ružica Đinđić.
