Grey Economy Suppression

Coordination Body of Serbia for directing activities on suppressing grey economy held its first session at the Palace of Serbia, where they discussed the implementation of the priority measures of the National Programme to combat the grey economy that will contribute to a fair and supportive conditions for business and employment.

Finance Minister Dušan Vujović said that the basic aim of combating the grey economy was to revert in the next five years at least one billion euros into legal channels. He called socially responsible companies and the international community to support reforms to improve education and public awareness, but also the economy and civil servants and encourage responsible behaviour. The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 20 companies, relevant government institutions, Delegation of the EU, USAID, GIZ and embassies.
