In the first year of operation as A1 Serbia, the company achieved the highest number portability and revenue growth

In the first year of operation under a new name, the mobile operator A1 Serbia achieved successful results, led by an increase in revenue and the number of users.

The company performed revenue growth of 10% compared to last year, amounting to 315.3 million euros. More than 91 thousand new users were welcomed to the new network, a part of the international A1 Telekom Austria Group. Also, A1 Serbia has by far the best ratio of ported numbers to and from the network, and thus the growth in the number of users according to this category – near 10 thousand.

In the year of rebranding, A1 Serbia launched the largest investment cycle so far, with the aim of further improving the coverage and quality of the network. 130 new base stations were built, making the company the second largest operator in terms of the number of its own base stations, with a total of 2.315. Radio capacities across Serbia increased by 63%, the user experience was improved by automating VoLTE technology, which all contributed to the quality of the A1 network to be confirmed by Ookla®speedtest recognition for the fastest mobile network in Serbia in 2021. and RATEL’s annual benchmarking.

The transition from a telecommunications to an ICT company is becoming more and more noticeable, especially considering the entry into the segment of cyber security, OTT services and advanced solutions for businesses. This is currently the only operator in the market that offers users both physical and software protection.
