The 75th Independence Day of Pakistan was marked by a flag hoisting ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan, Belgrade, on 14th August 2022.
Ambassador Shehryar Akbar Khan hoisted the national flag in the presence of the Pakistani community residing in Serbia, followed by reading the messages of the President and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. In his address to the community, the Ambassador conveyed his heartiest congratulations to his fellow Pakistanis, especially those residing in Serbia, on the Independence anniversary of Pakistan.
He reminded the audience; of the tireless efforts and sacrifices rendered by Muslims of South Asia to create Pakistan under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. On Pakistan-Serbia relations, the Ambassador underscored the importance of historical bilateral relations and expressed that growing bilateral and economic ties manifested mutually beneficial relations.
