See how a spectacular Heineken® broadcast of the UEFA EURO 2020 final™ in Belgrade looked like

Stanojević, Kralj and Drulović cheered from the front rows, Italy on the Top of Europe!

The euphoria and top atmosphere from Wembley, where Italy beat England 3:2 in the EURO2020 final after a penalty shootout, was successfully transferred to the heart of Belgrade. On the roof of the TC “Galerija”, where a festive event was organized for the first time, Heineken® organized a night to remember and an exclusive broadcast of the match for the title of European champion.

The well-reputed goalkeeper Ivica Kralj, the first coach of Partizan Aleksandar Stanojević, Bratislav Živković, a member of the national team expert staff, former selector of our A team and youth national team Ljubinko Drulović, football coach Aleksandar Veselinović and many others were among the football fans who gathered again to enjoy the rivalry and spectacular experience of the duel for the championship cup.

They were joined by the winners of the “Enjoy the Rivalry” competition organized by Heineken®, a long-time partner of the best football in Europe. Everyone hung out together at the top of the “Galerija” mall, both during the 120 minutes of the match and the penalty shootout, and after the finals, when a number of interesting activities was organized.

Upon arrival at the venue where the match broadcast was organized, everyone had the opportunity to walk through the “Celebrity Tunnel”, i.e. the Heineken® corridor, where visitors could see large photos and recordings on the left and right, immortalizing the magical moments of the previous European Championships. Heineken tried to provide a fresh perspective and at least for a moment, to make the guests feel what it’s like to be a footballer and go out on the big field in front of a crowded stadium.

The guests used their free time before the finals and at half time for a game of table football, as well as foot billiards, which is a real hit around the world. Special attention was drawn by the column with album stickers, where the participants of the Heineken® event found themselves in the role of their favourite football players again. Everyone received a photo with their character, which they pasted on the selected spot. By the end of the evening, there were over 200 photos on the winning column.

“We are proud that Heineken®, the world’s leading premium beer brand, is the official partner of UEFA EUR0 2020™. Hundreds of millions of people watched this championship live, we watched great matches, there were a lot of surprises, interesting results, and I believe that the final itself provided a perfect combination of quality and excitement, which only football can bring”, said Nikos Zois, Managing Director of HEINEKEN Serbia, adding: “Heineken® shares a passion for football with its consumers and encourages all sports enthusiasts to cultivate rivalry in the most positive sense of the term. Let’s cheer for our own respecting others. Exactly such an atmosphere was seen at the stadium this time, while we in Belgrade also organized a great atmosphere, with friends and responsible enjoyment with Heineken®.”

Italy last won this title back in 1968, when they beat Yugoslavia 2-0 in the final in Rome.
