In line with its mission to contribute to the further development of Swiss-Serbian economic relations, the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (ŠSTK) organized the conference “Innovations: the driving force of Swiss-Serbian economic relations” at the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade. As the most prominent speakers, at this gathering, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia and Montenegro took part in it. His Excellency Philippe Guex, Minister without Portfolio in charge of Innovation and Technologies in the Government of Serbia Nenad Popović, as well as dr. Olivier Küttel, Head of European Public Relations at the Federal Polytechnic School in Lausanne.

In the introductory address, the chairman of the Steering Committee of the ŠSTK, Ms. Yana Mikhailova, highlighted the importance of innovations for further strengthening of the economic relations between Switzerland and Serbia.
Swiss ambassador to Serbia, Philippe Guex, emphasized that innovations are crucial for the development of Swiss-Serbian relations, citing the Science and Technology Park (NTP) as an example: “It is the first institution of its kind in Serbia, which has become a key player in the innovation ecosystem – within it high-tech products that are competitive on foreign markets. The Swiss Secretariat for Economics finances the work of the NTP and it is a great pleasure for me that a few days ago this support has been extended. In this way, we want to accelerate the growth of exports, which is essential for the development of the Serbian economy. “
