The Association Žita Srbije (Wheat Serbia), with the support of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN FAO), participated in the largest world forum in the field of grain and oilseeds production “Global Grain”, which is held in Geneva from November 14 to 16, 2017.
Sunčica Savović, secretary of the Association of Žita Srbije, presented the participants with data on the quantities and quality of wheat, corn, sunflower, soybean and rapeseed production in Serbia, then the export capacities of our country and the key markets in which these cultures are placed. The analysis of the Žita Srbije Association, based on the data of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), shows that Serbia is listed among the 10 largest cereal exporters in the world from the economic 2014/15 to 2016/17.
